We love KidZania and have been to its KL and Bangkok branches. We love it for the fun, educational and interactive role-playing experiences that kids from 4 to 14 can participate in! Best of all, parents can witness their kids in action! It's like an amusement park but better - kids learn, kids share with their parents and families grow closer together from the entire experience! Singapore's very own KidZania is almost ready for boarding! Concept of KidZania KidZania (which … [Read more...]
The Singapore Airshow 2016: Where dreams take flight
You know what they say about having to involve a whole village to raise a child? Well…hold on to that thought. The Singapore Airshow returns this year with displays and aerial showcases that promises to be bolder, better. Judging from what we saw at the preview hosted by our very own RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force), that promise is certainly a reality. Even as we prepare ourselves to be impressed by the latest aerial acrobats and marvel at those magnificent flying machines the … [Read more...]

Monsters of the Sea, an exhibition focusing predominantly on huge prehistoric marine animals that once ruled the earth has been in-exhibit since Oct 2015. The exhibition is classified into 3 main sections aligned with the era in which these huge pre-historic sea creatures lived. Namely, the Palaeozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic periods. All three periods have distinct creatures with some having close resemblance to real-life creatures that still exist today. Aside from these 3 main exhibit … [Read more...]
S.E.A. Aquarium – Merry Fishmas: Learn, Wish and Win this Christmas
We had family members visiting from the UK recently and they were keen to visit the S.E.A. Aquarium as they had heard much about it. Dana was eagerly looking forward to hosting her cousin whom she hasn't met in 2 years. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that over and above their usual exhibits, the S.E.A Aquarium has a special Christmas programme, 'Merry Fishmas' (1 Dec to 3 Jan 2016) for the festive season where it leverages on the year end holidays to allow families to … [Read more...]
Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop at Shangri-La – The kind Fairy Tales are made of…
There before my eyes, my daughter’s very own Gingerbread House. Complete with icing snow, snowmen, Santas, gummy bears, jellybeans, M&Ms and a couple of candy trees. It looks like something right out of Hansel and Gratel and would sit proudly on the hotel’s bakery shelf for sale! I’m being totally biased of course but then, given that an hour or two ago, I was seriously skeptical about how the Gingerbread House will turn out seeing how they first started out as slabs of plain brown … [Read more...]

Sun’s Out, Kids’ Out – Go Karting at Kartright Speedway
My daughter ‘drove’ me around today. Round and round. She was steering the Go Kart and negotiating the bends, avoiding the kerbs and other cars with me, seated by her side controlling the accelerator and brakes. I had not expected it but thanks to Kartright Speedway, Dana had her first taste of driving a Go Kart and she absolutely LOVED it. Apart from the Skyline Luge@Sentosa, Go Karting now ranks highly on one of our favourite parent and child bonding activities! Our 1st Daddy and Child Go … [Read more...]
Street Art of Singapore @ Everton Road
Take a stroll down memory lane...at Everton Road. Ever had one of those rare ‘Hmmm…I wonder what shall we do today' days? Well, today was it. Rare as it was because I decided, quite simply, to procrastinate, slow down and commemorate Teachers’ Day by experiencing the joy of spending a weekday morning with my own kids…for a change. After bringing the girl for her specialist medical appointment in the morning, we decided to take a detour to Everton Road to check out the new street arts … [Read more...]
The Skyline Luge @ Sentosa – When Once is really Not Enough
Happy Birthday Skyline Luge Sentosa! Skyline Luge Sentosa celebrates their 10th year in Singapore and throwing a party packed with games and other value-added experiences for everyone! But first, here’s sharing our experience with the Skyline Luge where for us, once is definitely not enough. How we got 'hooked' on the Luge: My daughter Dana was just shy of 3 years old when we first discovered the Skyline Luge. We had joined my wife, Angie who was in Sentosa on a company retreat. While she … [Read more...]
