Monsters of the Sea, an exhibition focusing predominantly on huge prehistoric marine animals that once ruled the earth has been in-exhibit since Oct 2015. The exhibition is classified into 3 main sections aligned with the era in which these huge pre-historic sea creatures lived. Namely, the Palaeozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic periods. All three periods have distinct creatures with some having close resemblance to real-life creatures that still exist today. Aside from these 3 main exhibit … [Read more...]

Saving the CNY Festive Spirit with IKEA
Chinese New Year is one of the biggest festivals we celebrate in this part of the world. As a child, I used to look forward to the revelry of the occasion to play with my cousins and to feast on my late maternal Grandma's Foo-chow cooking. Before that happened, we youngsters have to help spring-clean the home as the adults zipped in and out between home and numerous shops trying to stock up the home with supplies for Chinese New Year. Fast forward many years down the road … [Read more...]

Siam Kempinski Hotel, Bangkok
Like most busy folks, when we go for a holiday, we look forward to rest, relax and rejuvenate. However, we were also apprehensive since we are travelling with … [Read more...]
I could have done a million things – An ode to purposeful abandonment
I could have done a million things. Yes, those readings, assignments, all piling up without mercy. I could have done a million things. Yes, those adult 'paperwork’ - bills to pay, emails to reply, deadlines to meet. I could have done a million things. How about coffee with some old friends? Aleric, Carol, Eric....Haven’t met them for awhile now. Wonder how they've been? Maybe they are busy too, who isn't? I could have done a million things. Uninterrupted 'me-time' to … [Read more...]

Travelling with children…Why We Do It
We started travelling with our eldest child when she was barely 7 months old, when I went on an overseas shoot in Melbourne (and the wife and daughter tagged along). Back then, it was because we had no reliable help and having been through a series of child-losses, we were very risk averse when it comes to their safety. We were worried to leave them behind, fearing they might become instant orphans if anything untoward should happen to us. As we traverse the world with our children, from … [Read more...]
Saving Space, Saving Memories with SPACESHIP
Space is a premium in land scarce Singapore and even more so in newer homes where the total floor area have shrunk over the years. No matter what form of accommodation we have – apartment, house or flat, all families run out of space very quickly and having that extra bit of space is always a welcomed luxury. For families with young children, it’s a struggle each and every year to create space especially since our eldest have entered formal schooling. We needed to create space for a proper … [Read more...]
SRT’s The Little Company’s The Three Billy Goat Gruff 三只山羊
Following a hugely successful English production in 2015, The Little Company is proud to present the Mandarin version of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, an entertaining musical that is bound to be unforgettable. The Three Billy Goats Gruff (affectionately known as “Baby”, “Middle”, and “Big”) are a close-knit bunch who graze happily together with their caretaker, Little Bo-Frilly.
