Among the most common gripes I’ve heard from parents is how often their school-going children are misplacing or losing their personal belongings. From pencils, crayons, textbooks, to wallets, water bottles, school P.E t-shirts (or shorts) and even spectacles.

Those well-meaning friends who have learned this the hard way have advised me not to buy stationeries that are too expensive and to label all of Dana’s belongings when she starts her Primary One education next month. Being a mild OCD Mommy, I believe in labelling our children’s things because it assists our children to take responsibility for their things and in doing so, spares us the agony of trying to locate lost items. It also helps us to save money in the long run without having to replacing these items on a regular basis.

So when the lovely people at Stuck On You, a online retailer of stylish personalized labels, gifts and accessories asked me if I would like to review something from their collection, I immediately said yes. Since young, I have a fondness for personalised gifts because it meant someone has you in mind when they order that gift.

The Stuck on You website is very intuitive and user-friendly with one of the most powerful ‘preview’ function around. The ordering process allows a full preview of how your child’s name would appear against your preferred designs, colours and fonts. I particularly like how we can preview the Chinese characters too (something its competitors have yet to offer). If you’re not satisfied, simply pick a new theme/colour and font before you proceeding with the order.  Be warned though – there are so many pretty labels to choose from that you might spend a long time deciding what to order (like me)!

I received my products last week and I’m very happy with them. I received:

All stationery comes personalised with your child’s name and fits inside a personalised pencil case. Dana was pretty chuffed to see this personalised Tools for School kit arrived in the mail as every single stationery item inside bears her name! It made her anticipate her Primary One education even more.

• Christmas Gift Labels – These Personalised Christmas Gift Labels are a beautiful way to to present gifts to your family and friends this Christmas. Each pack includes 24 paper labels that comes in 3-4 different Christmas designs within your chosen theme. To save myself from being a slave to Christmas gift-wrapping, I’ve decided to wrap the gifts in plain brown papers then attach one of these labels on top –  viola! Simple but still pretty!
