I jumped onto the Instagram bandwagon pretty late. I didn’t want another new social media fad to clutter up my life…Besides, I have enough photo editing apps which I’m happy with…but I can’t be more wrong. Once I downloaded the Instagram app, I was hooked.  For the uninitiated, Instagram is an Iphone (and most recently, Android) App that allows you to take photos, apply filters and share with your friends. That simple.

I adore Instagram‘s vintage filters which gives photos that nostalgic, oldie, somewhat abstract look and the feel of the good, old film days gone past.  What makes it attractive is that it’s so handy and user-friendly. Regardless of where I am, I snap, apply a filter and share it online right away (in 3 easy steps!).  Since becoming familiar with this app, Instagram has since become my personal visual diary. Scanning through my feed of photos is a great way to look back at past events and moments that would have otherwise been forgotten.

It’s easy to say “My life is so mundane…so there’s not much nice photos to take” but that just means we have to look a little harder. There’s beauty in ordinary things and places to be found. Here are a few of my favorite shots from my Instagram feed.

I was happily building up my visual diary on Instagram when I started googling for other cool things we can do with these Instagram pics. Not long after, I chanced upon StickyGram! In the end, I decided to narrow down to highlights from our Korean holidays so that Daddy can look at these snapshots when he misses us in the office. Once you’ve previewed and finalised your selection, make your payment via paypal or any credit card and it’s done. Easy peasy!

3. ENJOY!
