Once in a while, we would come across a product that is so exceptionally good that, after using, we would just be bursting with excitement to share. This is one of them.
Why are we so excited about the Baby Zen Yoyo+? Let me count the reasons:
Watch our user review of this amazing stroller:
1. Ultra Lightweight and Compact – The Perfect Travel Stroller
This is a great stroller for travel. Be it local or overseas. It is ultra-light (weighs only about 6 kg) and amazingly folds as small as a hand-carry luggage in a fraction of a second! Because of that, this stroller is permitted to be brought ON BOARD aircrafts and can be kept in the overhead baggage compartment. Yes, you read me right.
The Baby Zen Yoyo+ (left) compared to our carry-on luggage.
In flight:
We brought the Baby Zen Yoyo+ for our recent Scandinavia trip and we were able to bring it right on-board our Qatar Airways flight and kept it in the overhead compartment, both ways! No questions asked! A regular stroller would be stowed together with other luggage in the check-in luggage compartment and we would only be able to use it when we retrieve our luggage at the conveyor belt. But with the Baby Zen Yoyo+, you’ll enjoy these benefits of bringing your stroller onboard with you:
The travel case is optional but allows for clean and convenient carrying.
- Convenience: During transit, we were able to use our own stroller and whisked our sleeping boy around to catch our connecting flight.
- Baby’s Comfort: When we arrived at our final destination, we were able to use the stroller to wheel our baby around as we meandered through the corridors towards the immigration counters. There, we were able to let our baby sleep in the stroller as we waited our turn to clear customs.
- Hygienic: Keeping baby’s stroller with us in the overhead compartment means that baby’s stroller is not kept with the other luggage and cargo in the plane’s cargo bay.
On a cruise:
- Space is a premium during cruises. During an overnight cruise in Scandinavia, we were able to fold and slot the ultra compact Baby Zen Yoyo+ conveniently below one of the bunk beds without compromising on our personal space in the cabin.
In the car:
- When folded into its ultra compact size, the Baby Zen Yoyo+ took up only a small area in the car’s boot allowing more space to put other essentials.
The dimension of The BABYZEN YOYO+ stroller folds to 52 x 44 x 18 cm, and weighs about 6.2 to 6.6 kg, depending on the version. The stroller itself has a short carrying strap that we could just swing onto our shoulder to carry it. There is an optional travel carrying case, which keeps the stroller snugly and is able to latch on to the pulling handle of luggage for easier portability with the other luggage.
2. Folds in a Flash
Not only is the Baby Zen Yoyo+ light and ultra compact, it actually folds fast and unfolds in a flash. Essential when you are on the go!
3. Solid and Sturdy
We used to own another European made stroller that was heavy. However we found it too cumbersome to use especially when my wife had to bring the baby to see the doctor on her own using public transport. With the Baby Zen Yoyo+, we were surprised that despite its compactness and amazing portability, this stroller is just as sturdy like our previous heavy-built European strollers. Together with the high-density foamed handle, the stroller is easily maneuverable, even on the cobbled pavements of the olden towns and rocky terrain of Scandinavia.
In a park in Bergen, Norway. Happily rested and secure in the stroller.
The seat has ultra padding cushions for that ultra comfortable thick plush feel with fabric that is completely machine washable to ensure a high hygiene standards. Complete with its 4-wheel suspension system and exclusive ‘soft drive’ system – without the need to block the front wheels, the Baby Zen Yoyo+ gave us total control of its maneuverability with a silky smooth cruising experience. No wonder my boy slept very well inside the stroller even as we pushed him through the punishing cobbled streets of Europe.
The seat of the 6+ version can be reclined down to 145 degrees, giving my baby sufficient space to sleep comfortably without compromising the maneuverability of the stroller.
4. Safe
This is not mentioned in the brochures but I must say that I love the single-step braking system. It is essential to ensure that the brakes on the wheels are applied every time we put or remove the child from the stroller. The single brake-system allows me to conveniently lock both back wheels at a flip of a single brake pedal easily with my toes rather than having to step on 2 or more brakes to ensure that the stroller is properly ‘braked’.
The 5-point harness of the Baby Zen Yoyo+ kept my baby secure even as he slept soundly while we negotiated the narrow winding streets and other natural sights of Europe.
The extendable hood of the Baby Zen Yoyo+ comes with SPF 50+ solar protection for both the 0+ and 6+ versions. A full coverage rain protector comes together with the stroller.
The solid new frame of the Baby Zen Yoyo+ can safely carry a child from baby up to the weight of 18kg! That would be close to 7 years old. This makes the Baby Zen Yoyo+ the only stroller any family will ever need.
The safe and solid frame ensures smooth and comfortable ride even through gravel.
5. Stylish and Customisable
The fabric covers of the canopy and the seats are completely customizable with a range of colours which can be bought separately. This is great as it allows us to change the colour of the covers to replace existing ones in the event of wear and tear or if for families that would like to keep the stroller for the next baby, the covers can be changed and the stroller will look brand new again!
6. Others Value-added Features
Footrest and basket: The Baby Zen Yoyo+ comes with a wider footrest for our boy to put his foot securely within the stroller frame and a larger mash basket below sufficient to put baby’s much needed necessities on the go.
The wide foot rest allows baby to rest his feet comfortably.
Optional Features:
Carry cot: The 0+ model (for newborns) comes with the baby cot which also folds completely flat (amazing!) for ease of travel.
Car-seat adaptor: Once fitted, these clip-on car seat adaptors enable the Baby Zen Yoyo+ to be fitted with baby car carriers from major brands, offering that added flexibility and adaptability to suit your family’s needs.
Travel Case: The travel case helps to keep the stroller clean and damage-free as you store it at home or on the go.
Me and my travelling companions…including the Baby Zen Yoyo+
After experiencing the Baby Zen Yoyo+, we are totally waxing lyrical about it because of its compactness, sturdiness and providing an all-round solution for families to travel with their young children. This is a truly revolutionary stroller and truly, the one and only stroller any family with young kids will ever need.

Hey Angie! I went to get the stroller after you and David told me how good it is! It’s only week 2 and we are loving it soooooo much! Will write about it too, too good not to share! Thanks for the recommendation!!
David.S says
Hi Jayme. Good things must share ya? Glad you like it!
Bumble Bee Mum says
Love how compact it is when folded up! That travel case is so cool.. Nobody would ever know you are carrying a stroller in there. And no more hanging around after getting off the flight to wait for your stroller to be unloaded! Woohoo…. Beat the crowd to the immigration line and let the vacation begin!
David.S says
I actually did not anticipate the benefits derived from using it at transit or even at the immigration cos I’m so used to the inconvenience of getting my regular stroller at the conveyor belt only AFTER clearing immigration …but with the BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller, now everything’s changed! Gladly!

We loaned a Baby Zen Yoyo in Paris for our shopping days and it was a lifesaver! Being light and compact, we were able to carry it up and down the metro stations (which has NO escalators or lifts) with ease and had almost no issue fitting it next to our seats at the usually cramp cafes and bistros 🙂 I’d buy it if I didn’t already have a stroller!
David.S says
Glad you’re a fan too!
Ai Sakura says
So compact!! No more worrying about strollers getting lost or damaged when checked-in for plane travels haha

Yes! And we have the baby sleeping soundly in the stroller as we rush to catch our connecting flight and also when we queue at immigration. Very good.
Lynn Lee says
Love it that it’s lightweight and soooo compact when folded. Seems really like a good travel stroller!
David.S says
Yes it is! Best in its class! Thanks for dropping by!
Michelle says
Love the videos. I also like the foot rest. My current stroller folds quickly and is also very light but doesn’t come with a foot rest. I always thought it must be tiring for those little dangling feet!
David.S says
Yes, the folks at BabyZen really put a lot of thought into their product….including a footrest for baby to put his feet safely in.
Adeline says
Oh I didn’t know it has a carry cot! I love how stylish it looks, but I’m just afraid that it’ll end up being a white elephant like our Bugaboo Bee. I’m tempted to sell that and get this instead though, because it looks so much more portable and handy!
David.S says
Yes Adeline, the 0+ version comes with a cot (the Nest). When baby outgrows the Nest, remove it and it becomes the 6+ version. It is really the only stroller you’ll ever need.
Susan says
WOW this stroller is a dream, light, compact, stylish and sturdy. No chance for us but I know what to recommend to my cousin who’s looking for a stroller now.
David.S says
Thanks Susan for dropping by, yes, its a great recommendation.
Debs G says
Wow, I love it that the fabric is machine washable and that the stroller’s brake system works so well! I love my umbrella stroller but the brake system on that is a joke, and it doesn’t recline either. In comparison, the Yoyo+ looks like really plush!

Such good fate I discovered your blog site…it really helps parents like me in choosing the best for my kid.. your recommendations and unbiased reviews made me more confident that I’m on the right track! This Baby Zen Yo-yo+is one of them!???

Hi there, I stumbled across your review for the Combi F2 Plus and then this review for Babyzen Yoyo+. Thanks for the review. Just wondering how does the two compare to each other? We are first time parents-to-be and are expecting our first child in a few months time hence am currently looking into prams/strollers. I will most likely be doing a fair bit of travelling as well and was hoping that we can get a way with one main pram/stroller that is lightweight, comfortable and sturdy without having to buy a second stroller down the track specifically for travelling purposes. I noticed Combi has a few lightweight, comfortable (especially the early months) and sturdy models (apart from the F2 Plus). However i’m not sure how convenient it is for travelling and if it is wide enough for when the baby grows into a toddler say the size of your little boy. I’ve got friends raving about the Babyzen Yoyo+ plus being the only stroller one will ever need as well but I don’t hear much about the carry cot/nest component. Was wondering if you have any advice and if your could share your experience after using both the Babyzen Yoyo and Combi F2? Apologies for the long comment. Happy for you to email me personally too.
Thank you.
David.S says
Hi Rachel, I’ll be emailing you to share our experience. Thanks for dropping by!
Mika says
Hi David,
I would love to hear your thoughts on the Yoyo vs the F2 Plus as well please!
Thank you!
David.S says
Hi Mika, both have their merits. I’ll be emailing you on that later. Keep a lookout for that. Thanks for dropping by.
Reiko says
Hi there, I am in the same boat and would love to hear your comparison of the Combi and the Babyzen. We have had a used combi now for a year and I’ve grown to hate it (terrible driving and the basket below is just too small to be useful). Would love to hear your thoughts!
Angie. S says
Hi, my hubby David will reply you via email. Thanks for dropping by!
Kat says
I have a newborn and we want a stroller that we can use on toddler years. Is yoyo flexible on that?
David.S says
The Baby Zen YoYo+ is perfect for this although you will have to purchase an add-on for the newborn which amazingly fold compactly with the existing stroller chassis. We used ours all the way till my kid was into his preschool years. This is the only stroller you’ll need.
TC says
Hi! Thanks for the post – it’s been really helpful reading about your experience. Just wondering, do you think there’s any difference (other than the canopy) in getting the yoyo+ 0+ & 6+, versus a yoyo+ 6+ with a compatible baby car seat? If we go for the latter combination, can the car seat be rear facing on yoyo+?
Appreciate your advice! Thanks again.
David.S says
Hi Thanks for your question and for dropping by. I’ll forward this good question to the folks at Babyzen for their response as we didn’t use the one with the car seat. Stay tuned!
Katherine says
This is a great question! I’m really interested in hearing their response as well!!
David.S says
Hi TC and Katherine,
Apologies for the late reply, here’s the response from the distributor: The infant car seat is meant to transfer the baby from car to stroller and vice versa. It is not meant to replace the 0+ nest pack. It is not recommended to leave an infant in the car seat for more than 2 hours. The infant car seat and 0+ nest pack have the same orientation: parent facing.
Hope it helps.
Anne says
Hello
Would also love your input on how the combi f2 and babyzen yoyo compare
Thx
David.S says
Hi they are quite different strollers. I’ve written to you about their differences. Check your email!
