Mealtime has become such a fun time with mummy eagerly experimenting new recipes to satisfy Dana's growing tastebuds! Today's new menu is taken from Annabel Karmel's website: http://www.annabelkarmel.com/recipes/babies-6-9-months/tasty-fish-sweet-potatoI've decided to throw my inhibitions out of the window in allowing our Princess to partially self-feed (and inevitably make a mess in the process). Reckon we should allow her to learn kinesthetically as well - to touch, smell, feel the food that … [Read more...]

Eat with your Family Day!
Today's Singapore's 'Eat with your Family Day'. Initiated in 2003, the Centre for Fathering realised that Singaporeans are often too busy with work, school or other personal commitments to enjoy a meal with their families. Hence, 'Eat With Your Family Day' serves as a reminder to all Singaporeans the importance of having meals as a family. Eating together goes a long way towards keeping the family close.Dana's infant care promotes this day by inviting all parents to a breakfast party at the … [Read more...]

Green Peas with Potato & Onion Soup
Ever since Dana sprouted 2 teeth, she's shown more interest in what we're eating than her usual porridge. So mummy has to scour children's cookbooks for more ideas to plan her post-porridge weaning menu. One new dish we've prepared for Dana today was the Green Peas with Potato & Onion Soup. We served it with bread and Dana seems to like it although it has a distinctly 'vege' taste. Proud of her! Here's the recipe (2 servings):Ingredients:Frozen green peas 50gHalf a Potato (abt 160g)Half an … [Read more...]
Singapore Duck Tour & Skinny Pizza!
Daddy took childcare leave on 22 May, a day after his birthday to bring the family for an outing. We went onboard the Singapore Ducktour which brought us on an amphibious tour around Singapore's civic district and Marina waterfront. It's a novel way to tour our city and we felt like tourists! After the 60min tour, Daddy treated us to a yummy lunch at Skinny Pizza. It's the nicest pizza ever and we (even Dana) absolutely loved it! Look forward to more leisurely family outings like this :) … [Read more...]

Dana Tours Malacca!
We drove up to Malacca last weekend to celebrate Mothers' Day as well as my birthday :). We had planned for this trip since 3 months back and were so looking forward to it! Thank God for the good weather, great company (of my cousins), a smooth drive and Dana's good health! We had a relaxing time sightseeing, lazing in the hotel room and just chilling out by the pool. Dana was an extremely cooperative and adaptable baby and did not fuss even though she's in a new environment and did not have her … [Read more...]

This post is long overdue. April has been such a busy month for us that we've neglected this blog quite a bit. We also can hardly find time to edit photos taken at Dana's 1st birthday party. Finally when the long Labor Day weekend came, we decided we had to get it done.Looking back at the photos, we truly thank God for blessing us with a fantastic celebration - from the location, the service, the food, the fellowship & blessings from our guests who turned up, the programme, the cake and … [Read more...]
