Celebrating the launch of Ben & Jerry’s CORES!

In our home, we love desserts more than mains. An ice-cream treat at the end of a long stressful week or upon reaching a new milestone has become the de-facto family tradition.  But many times, I always can’t decide which flavor of ice cream to buy, so end up buying two (or more) pints and eating way too much. Not too good for the waistline eh?  Now, hard-CORE ice-cream fans rejoice! Ben and Jerry has put us out of that  ‘misery’ with their new line of Ben & Jerry’s ‘CORE’ Ice-cream! 

The much-awaited CORES hit Singapore shores!

Each pint of Ben & Jerry’s CORE ice-cream contains two flavors – one on each side with a fudge, caramel or jam center, from top to bottom. If that’s not decadent enough, there are chunks of candy or brownies in the ice cream. The revolutionary CORE ice-creams not only celebrate the flavourful chunks and swirls Ben & Jerry’s is renowned for, but add more flavour and texture to make it super premi-YUM! It’s genius.

The 3 new CORE varieties introduced in Singapore are Hazed & Confused, Salted Caramel and That’s My Jam.

1) Hazed and Confused is chocolate and hazelnut ice cream with fudge chips and a hazelnut fudge core that tastes like thick, creamy Nutella. If you’re a Nutella fan, this is for you!

2) That’s My Jam (my personal favourite among the 3) is chocolate and raspberry ice cream on either side of a raspberry core that actually has seeds in it. It’s sweet and tangy; much like the type of jam I like to spread on my Sunday toast. It’s crazy good.

3) The most popular flavor of the lot must be the Salted Caramel flavor with sweet vanilla ice cream, blonde brownies and a gooey salted caramel core. Be warned, it’s addictive!

All three of the new CORE flavours are available at S$16.50 per pint, at all major supermarkets, petrol kiosks, convenience stores and the following Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops: Vivocity, Great World City and Dempsey Hill. You can also get customizable CORE SUNDAES with a core of hot fudge or caramel between any two flavors you fancy at the scoop shops.
