We are no stranger to the Safari Zoo Run, having participated in it for 2 consecutive years in 2015 and 2016. It has become our family’s favourite run. An annual event where we get into our sporting gears and run together as a family of 4. Here are some photos and a video clip from this year’s run. The air was crisp, mood awesome and bonding among families? Priceless.

The Safari Zoo Run 2017 returns on 18 February 2017 (Saturday) at the Singapore Zoo.  If you’ve always wanted to bring your families for this run, here’s your chance to do it!

The run’s theme, “Run for Wildlife” focuses on raising awareness for wildlife conservation. There will be 4 animal icons featured in the run: Ah Meng the Orangutan, Chawang the Asian Elephant, Canola the Manatee and Sunny the Hornbill.Each animal icon team supports an endangered wildlife species that Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) would like to raise awareness for.

There are 10KM, 5.5KM & 2.5KM Race categories available for the entire family!  We participated in the non-competitive 5km Family Run this year with Buddy in his stroller. Next year, we’ll probably opt for the non-competitive 2.5km Family Dash so that Buddy can brisk walk with Mommy while Daddy and Dana run ahead.  Children below 4 as of 18 Feb 17 enter for free (without runner’s entitlements) in the non-competitive family categories. (i.e. 5.5km Safari Zoo Family Run and 2.5km Safari Zoo Family Dash).
