Daddy and I seldom venture to ECP as it's a long drive from the west (where we live) and it's perpetually packed with people (esp weekends). But recently we discovered there's actually a lot of fun things for the little ones to explore at ECP and cycling is one of them!Ever since Maddy's Mummy shared with us that there are bicycles with attached babyseats for rent, we've been waiting for a chance to bring Dana cycling. Last Sunday, we finally found the time for the excursion. We reached ECP at … [Read more...]
National Day Outing to the Farm
We took advantage of the long National Day Weekend to bring Dana to this farm located off Seletar West Way. There are many animals which we could come in close contact and Dana fed the rabbits for the 1st time! Besides rabbits, we also saw horse, ducks, emu, billy goats, guinea pigs, birds and a couple of roosters there. We love the fact that this farm is fairly secluded and the animals are kept in its natural habitat. We will bring our Princess back again :)The Animal Farm is located at 81 … [Read more...]
Wet and Wild Day at the Zoo!
We made an impromptu trip to the Zoo today before Daddy's leave ends. It's Dana's 2nd trip to the Zoo and this time round, we managed to see more animals as our visit coincided with the feeding sessions at the Treetop Trail and the Rainforest Habitat. The weather was nice and breezy after a heavy downpour early in the morning. Our Princess at 14 months is more alert now and she was visibly excited to spot the animals today. Among the many: the White faced Masaki Monkey, the Ring-tailed Lemur, the … [Read more...]
Singapore Duck Tour & Skinny Pizza!
Daddy took childcare leave on 22 May, a day after his birthday to bring the family for an outing. We went onboard the Singapore Ducktour which brought us on an amphibious tour around Singapore's civic district and Marina waterfront. It's a novel way to tour our city and we felt like tourists! After the 60min tour, Daddy treated us to a yummy lunch at Skinny Pizza. It's the nicest pizza ever and we (even Dana) absolutely loved it! Look forward to more leisurely family outings like this :) … [Read more...]

Call of the Wild – Part 1 Jurong Bird Park
We took advantage of the STB's Visit Singapore promotion and brought Dana to the Jurong Bird Park bright and early over the weekend. It's her 1st trip there and an eye opener for her to be 'up close and personal' with so many birds. We particularly liked the Flamingo Parade, the Penguin Encounter and the Lory's Loft. Here are some photos to share:On this outing, we discovered (much to our delight) that our Princess is quite 'fearless' and hardy; she eagerly reached out to touch the birds and she … [Read more...]
Dana’s Day Out @ The Gardens
Daddy and Mummy brought Dana for an evening stroll at the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden yesterday. J.B. Garden is built on the grounds of the Old NIE (along Bukit Timah Road) where I used to attend lessons as a trainee teacher. As Asia's first children's garden, it has many fascinating attractions like the Potting Garden, Waterplay Area, A-Mazing Play Area, Plants Recycle Area, Suspension Bridge and the Tree House. It's our 2nd visit there and we love the natural setting. Can imagine when Dana … [Read more...]
