Fairy Breads are the rage in Australia but I’ve never thought much about it. I couldn’t understand children’s fascination with sprinkles except that they are colourful and much too sweet. Until I chanced upon this recipe which makes a nice Valentine’s gift and a handy Bento snack. Instantly, I turned it into a mini-bonding session with the Princess. It’s simple, fuss-free and attractive, what’s not to like about it?

To make this, simply:
1. Cut off the crust of 2 slices of bread (I use Gardenia).
2. Use a cookie cutter to get the shape you want on one slice.
3. Spread either Peanut Butter, Butter or Nutella on the uncut slice, then partially dust it with sprinkles.
4. Cover the sandwich up by laying the cut side (with the shape) on top and it’s all done!
Go on and make one of these today and top it with one of these loveable lunchbox notes from Picklebums! Just save, print, cut out and write…They’re sure to bring a smile to the faces of those you love.

Nice! Simple and easy, I like!
it looks too pretty to eat!

Think the comment function works fine now! I wonder why I couldn’t do it in the afternoon. Anyway, great idea! Will be trying this out with Aly when she gets a bit older. 🙂

Sprinkles you say? I know just the girl who would love some.
Such pretty bread! I think even my boy would like this 🙂
