Fun-Filled, Weather-Proof, Worry-Free Pororo Party!
Childhood and birthday parties invariably go hand-in-hand together. For our children, we want them to remember the special day when they were born and how much that day means to us. As working parents, the planning of parties can be quite overwhelming. In addition to coordinating the guest list, settling the caterer, door-gifts and ‘entertainment’, having to deal with multiple contingencies on party day itself may prevent us from truly enjoying the celebration.
For Buddy’s 4th birthday this year, we decided to engage the good folks at Pororo Park Singapore so that the birthday boy and his parents (us!) can free our minds to enjoy the company of our guests. Fuss free, weather-proof, worry-free!
Beyond Expectations:
Buddy has visited Pororo Park Singapore as part of his school excursions and we’ve brought Dana here during their official opening so we already know the place will be super fun for kids. But we didn’t expect holding a birthday party here would DOUBLE the fun. Here are 5 reasons why:
1- Balanced Party Programme
With any birthday party, as the hosts, we need to give the party programme much thought. If the programme is too draggy, the kids will feel bored and lose interest. If it’s too fast-paced, younger kids may not be able to catch up. The Pororo Park birthday package has a good mix of free-play, theatre performance (LIVE with Pororo and friends!), games, cake-cutting, Photo-op and refreshments. We left the party in the hands of the experienced party planners at Pororo Park and they did such a fantastic job. The programme was well-paced, all our little guests (and their parents) were relaxed and having fun. Nothing makes us happier than to see our birthday boy smiling from ear to ear and hearing that our guests enjoyed themselves.
2- The Dessert Table…and the Cake!
The Pororo-themed dessert table and centerpiece birthday cake that came with the package are from homegrown bakery specialising in bespoke cakes and dessert tables, Little House of Dreams. When we stepped into the party room, we literally gasped. We hadn’t expect such tasteful décor in an indoor theme park party, much less such finely made desserts (including macarons that were a hit!). We beamed with pride when we saw that BEAUTIFUL fondant cake with Buddy’s name delicately calligraphed on the front. We rarely see kids’ birthday cakes done in such fine workmanship! We were extra pleased to know that the cake and desserts were not only pretty to look at but delicious too! We polished up the chocolate birthday cake with hazelnut buttercream. Yums! What we like about dessert table is that we were able to distribute the left over lollipops, chocolates, cake pops, cookies etc. into the kids’ goodie bags for them to bring home.
3- Attention to Details
When we arrived (early as usual), we saw staff members inside the party room ensuring that party hats, party balloons, kids cutleries, goodie bags, backdrops etc. were all properly aligned. Not a hair was out of place. Even the goodie bags were filled with age-appropriate Pororo Park merchandise for each of our little guest. Throughout the party, we observed the team patiently taking care of the kids’ needs and ours. No requests were too great. With such prompt attention given, it left a good impression on our guests. Kudos to the staff at Pororo Park. We truly appreciated the effort to make this party so memorable!
4- Friendly Staff
From the moment our guests arrived, they were greeted by warm, friendly ‘hellos’ by the Pororo Park team. The party host assigned to run our party also hit it off well with the kids right from the start. He was jovial and a bag of fun as he entertained 16 lively kids for 2 hours. No mean feat if you ask us. The staff ensured our party guests had priority to enter the Pororo Theatre to enjoy the live performance and they also made sure the birthday boy felt like a star at the party.
5- Indoor Play Area
After the 2-hour party programme, the fun continues! The kids were given more free time to play inside Pororo Park. This extended the enjoyment for the kids who took to the Pororo Park like bees to honey. With the kids happily playing, parents were able to chit-chat with one other or just take a breather to enjoy a cuppa at the in-house café.
Summary
This Pororo party exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Chief of which, it took our minds off the hassles of party prep to fully enjoy the occasion with our kids, family and friends. Honestly, we are so glad we made the wise decision to host Buddy’s 4th Birthday Party at Pororo Park – fun-filled, weather-proof and fuss-free! Thank you Pororo Park Singapore for being part of our family’s joyous milestone!
