Our Friso Baby! Our Princess is growing up really fast. This past month alone, she made several transitions. She no longer takes her naps in the electronic cradle (or sarong) now as she can wriggle and crawl herself out of it. She's soon outgrowing her 'M' size diapers. She has also started eating porridge at the infantcare centre during lunch this week. More notably, she's graduated from Friso Gold 1 to 2 formula but seems to get hungry faster, easier. We thank God for her good … [Read more...]

What Goes on in Skool…
Dana's fever has finally subsided after 3 torturous nights and she's missed infantcare for a week now. Teacher Geraldine (the Principal) was very kind to email us some photos taken of our Princess few weeks back when an official photographer came to take class photos. Don't you think our princess looks so adorable and grown up in the school uniform? :) From the looks of it, she does enjoy her time at the infantcare and that gives us great consolation. … [Read more...]

Bitten by the Bug…
Our Princess was well and happy over the weekend (see next post for pictures as evidence) but she suddenly developed high fever this morning. 38.4C at 5am, 38.8C at 1pm and 38.9C at 6pm.Daddy left an important meeting midway, picked her up from Lil Skoolhouse and rushed her to two of our usual PD clinics only to find them closed for vacation and afternoon break respectively. The Origins of my Name…
When we knew we were expecting a baby girl, I wanted her last name to bear the same initials as her Daddy. Like other excited parents, we browsed baby websites trying to shortlist names which sound good and have good meanings. We used to worship at Evangel Family Church and our Senior Pastor's daughter was named Dayna. She was a very learned young lady, highly intelligent and a fervent woman of faith. When I proposed this name to the hubs, he liked it. It was one of the names we both … [Read more...]

Healthy and Yummilicious Pumpkin, Potato, Carrot, Chicken and Broccoli PorridgeDana has been eating a staple of Pumpkin, Potato, Carrot and Chicken Porridge for dinner for almost a week now. I've decided to introduce a new ingredient - Broccoli by mixing it into the porridge. Broccoli is very high in Vitamin C and is a great source of soluble fiber! This makes broccoli wonderful to add to baby food recipes. Am glad she likes it :)Ingredients:1 Chinese Spoonful of Rice1 Tbsp each of cubed organic … [Read more...]
Today’s Menu – Banana Tofu Puree
Banana Tofu PureeTofu is a soybean curd and unfermented soy and is a great source of iron, protein and calcium. Steam tofu for 5 mins (*optional)2. Peel and mash the banana3. Mix together with the … [Read more...]
A Day at the Infantcare
Our Princess turns 7 months today (how time flies when you have a baby!). She's been enrolled at the Little Skool-House on the Vista for a month now and we thank God she's adapting very well to the teachers and friends there. Here are some photos Teacher Pat and Teacher Lydia took of Dana last week during playtime :) That's Yi-Hsuen, Dana's classmate in the infantcare. She's only 3 days older than Dana, looks like they've the same developmental milestones :) … [Read more...]
