We celebrated Dana’s 4th Birthday in grand style this year. Kicking off her celebrations was a simple party in her kindergarten. Before April dawned, Mommy has hatched an ambitious plan to bake Dana a gorgeous Rainbow Cake similar to the one I saw on this website. This was no easy undertaking and Mommy spent many nights after work making sure all required ingredients are purchased and laid out. The week leading to the class party was filled with intensive baking and decorating. On the desssert menu were personalised Oreo cookies, delectable blueberry cupcakes and of course, the 7 layered Rainbow Cake – all merticulously coordinated to Dana’s chosen Hello Kitty theme.
As it was my 1st attempt baking the Rainbow Cake, I held with bated breath as the cake was cut. Finally the moment of truth was revealed and to my relief, it was a runaway success! With exuberant colours of Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and Indigo emancipating from every single slice, the party was instantly brought to another climax!
Red – Passion to be a little girl after God’s own heart
Yellow – Ambassador of Sunshine and Joy
Green – Compassion and Desire to help Humanity
Blue – Purveyor of Peace and Truth
Indigo – Always in the company of Loyal Friends who will be your extended family from God

Hi Dee, thanks for dropping by and leaving me a comment. I rarely bake full cakes and this was a personal challenge which I’m glad I took up. I’m sure your girl would be delighted to have Mommy bake something for her birthday too. 🙂
Hi Evelyn, thank you for the kind compliments. The Rainbow cake was a colourful touch to the party!

Beautiful cake, for a beautiful young lady!
Amazing effort… but then again we know we’d scale mountains and attempt the impossible for our little darlings, don’t we? 🙂
Happy Birthday, Dana!
