Our Princess was well and happy over the weekend (see next post for pictures as evidence) but she suddenly developed high fever this morning. 38.4C at 5am, 38.8C at 1pm and 38.9C at 6pm.
Daddy left an important meeting midway, picked her up from Lil Skoolhouse and rushed her to two of our usual PD clinics only to find them closed for vacation and afternoon break respectively. How annoying. It was not till 7pm when we finally managed to consult a doctor who diagnosed that Dana’s caught a strain of the influenza bug 🙁
How she caught it, we aren’t sure but we do know that her immunity is at an all-time low, having just recovered from viral fever last week. We’ve to monitor her temperature, stuffy nose and cough to ensure it doesn’t degenerate into pneumonia.
Since Dana’s already crossed the 6-month mark, PD prescribed paracetamol plus ibuprofen to help curb the fever. She was also given Vasican Syrup to dissipate the phlegm. Our poor baby. As parents, it pains us to see our lil ones suffer and we feel so helpless. We pray that our Princess will recover fully in no time and back to her bubbly, lively self.
