I was introduced to this author – Julia Donaldson by Elliot’s Mummy few months back. I recently ordered this title ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ and the whole family loves it!

It’s a comical little story which takes place in a quaint little farmyard peppered with noisy farm animal noises (MOOS! BAAS! QUACKS! and OINKS!). There lives a quiet ladybird who never spoke a word. The adventure starts when the animals unites in a clever plot to stop two baddies from stealing their fine prized cow. With gorgeous illustrations, an exciting storyline and catchy rhymes, what’s not to like about it? It’s a fun read and Dana asks for it every night.
