These two timeless classics given a new spin in this brand new family musical! |
You may be familiar with the classic tales – The Ugly Duckling and The Frog Prince. But what happens when you weave these two stories into one?
An ugly duckling who really does not fit in at home…
A frog who thinks he is a prince…
Both need a family.
Both need a best friend.
Both want to be loved but both are very very alone.
Follow the adventures (and misadventures) of these two cute but confused creatures in their quest for acceptance and security, as I Theatre cleverly intertwine two most well-loved fairy tales – Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling and The Grimm Brothers’ The Frog Prince into an original brand new family musical ‘Hop and Honk‘!
‘Hop and Honk‘ is a beautiful, poignant, hilarious, wonderfully silly tale of two creatures stumbling through situations which help them grow in life. The musical will address some of the questions children have after reading the two tales: How, and why did the prince turn into the frog? Who did the ugly duckling meet when she ran away? And bringing the two stories together – what happens when the frog meets the duckling? Catch ‘Hop and Honk‘ and maybe you will find some surprising answers!

Can The Ugly Duckling find a friend in The Frog Prince? |
Combining toe-tapping music, spectacular sets, glittering costumes, magical lighting, top class performers and jaw-dropping puppetry, this highly entertaining musical also teaches children key values such as racial harmony, tolerance as well as self-worth and self-esteem, team work and creative thinking. Written and directed by I Theatre‘s brilliant Artistic Director, Brian Seward.
A year in the making, ‘Hop and Honk‘ is a family musical not to be missed. Presented in the best Broadway and West End tradition, it will entertain, challenge and tickle your funny bones.

We have thought of getting our kids to appreciate arts more, like musicals and plays, but so far we have never had a chance to go as family.
This musical will appeal to the kids, as it is about 2 stories that they are very familiar with, but with a twist! I think even the adults are very curious about the ending!
The kids get to learn through play literally, as it dishes out values for the kids to pick up; parents can then help to reinforce the learning.
Thanks for the giveaway!
