In 4 day’s time, we will be celebrating the Lunar New Year. This year will mark the beginning of the Year of the Horse: an animal which signifies surprises in adventure and romance. People born during this year are believed to be good communicators, kind, talkative, independent, though sometimes impatient. My sister was born in the year of the ‘Horse’ and I do see some of these traits in her.

This year coincidentally, the 15th day of the Lunar New Year (also known as ‘Yuan Xiao Jie’ 元宵节) which marks the end of Chinese New Year celebrations and widely celebrated as the Chinese Valentine’s Day in China, will coincide with the ‘Western’ Valentines’ Day we are familiar with, on 14 February 2014. Specially for Valentine’s season 2014, Toy Factory is proud to present “Romeo & Juliet”. While this is one of the most frequently performed and famous Shakespearean plays, this well-loved tale of star-crossed lovers is set to be presented in a trendy and bold resurrection for a modern audience.
