In a flash, we've come to the last day of the year. It has been overwhelmingly hectic but God has kept us safe through our coming in and going out. Here's are some of the year's significant moments through our lens: January - Dana had her ears pierced at the Kids' Clinic@Bishan and we've no regrets! Dr. Oh is excellent and we can't recommend her enough. Our ear-piercing experience was recently published in The Asian Parents.January also saw Dana being enrolled in a new kindy … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesnesday: A Merry Christmas!
It's Christmas. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Saviour, we also took time to celebrate the kinship which God has bestowed upon us. We were blessed to have Natsuki Photography do an outdoor shoot for us to remember the year in pictures. After numerous postponements (due to hectic schedules and unpredictable weather conditions), we finally managed to meet up at Hort Park on a bright sunny Sunday morning for this shoot.Natsuki and her assistant are young, friendly and … [Read more...]
Cooking with Air – the Healthier Choice!
The Philips Avance XL Airfryer has been my indispensable kitchen help since the day it arrived. To date, I’ve used it to air-fry salmon fillets, French fries, chicken nuggets, chicken wings and drumlets, ikea meat balls, even successfully recreated a recipe on grilled Lemongrass Pork Fillets for the Vietnamese Bahn Mi Sandwich. I’m in awe of the air-fryer’s rapid air technology which cooks food with zero (or little) oil and in half the time taken by a conventional oven. In today’s post, I … [Read more...]

Dana’s 1st Music Recital
Friday the 13th, 2013 will go down in history with a special significance for my family. It was Dana's 1st music recital after taking piano lessons for a year. She was invited to play at the Christmas Concert at The Arts House. Daddy couldn't be more pleased as he believes that music is to be performed and enjoyed by an audience. We thank God that Dana was given such an exposure and it was made more memorable that Daddy accompanied Dana on two duets! A befitting venue for a … [Read more...]
Crazy Christmas Ting Tong Belles (featuring The Dim Sum Dollies!)
Photos Credit: Dream AcademyWe are no strangers to musicals, concerts, plays and we enjoy unwinding over a good laugh watching popular American TV sit-coms like Seinfeld, Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond (until they each ended their runs one by one). When I knew we were going to watch the opening preview of Crazy Christmas, the first thought that came to my mind was, “Is it a musical? A concert? A stand-up comedy?” The simple answer to that is yes, Crazy Christmas is all of that and a … [Read more...]
Let Elmo give you a Hug!
All Elmo ever really wanted was a hug. From the moment Dana unwrapped Big Hugs Elmo, she was over the moon. Her all time favourite Sesame Street character is right in our home, giving her a big tight hug!! The first thing we noticed when the gift arrived is that it is very tall, standing almost as high as a toddler. This makes it a pretty fun toy for kids. Dana couldn't be more thrilled to have a life-sized (well, almost) huggable buddy to fill the gap of the sibling she's been longing … [Read more...]
