By any account it was a long and lousy day. Due to some contingencies at work, the day had stretched into the evening and the evening into night. Plans to have dinner with Angie and attend the Singapore Blog Awards night together had to be shelved. By the time I reached home, the kids were fast asleep – kind of like the same way I left them when I left for work early in the morning at 6:30am.  It is exactly this sort of day that inspired me to write – a day in the life of a working parent, juggling the demands of work while trying his best to carve out any sliver of time to spend meaningfully with his family and make every moment count.

Tonight, as Angie texted me to share the good news that our blog had been awarded the Top 10 Popular Blogs in the 2015 Singapore Blog Award, I was overjoyed and extremely encouraged to know that are fellow parents out there, perhaps facing the same struggles and dilemmas as us, have benefited from our honest outpouring of parenting ups and downs.

We are very honoured and truly humbled to receive the award and want to give a special shout out to the following groups of significant people:

• God for his blessing and, specially, for the blessing of family.
• Our network of family bloggers who have since become our personal friends. Thank you for your generosity, guidance and friendship.
• The many PR associates and brand sponsors who have entrusted us to be your spokesperson.
• Our loyal readers for spurring us on with your support, comments, ‘likes’ for our posts, and for being there every step of the way in our blog milestones.

Certainly, not the least, we are thankful to our 2 lovely God-sent kids, who are the inspirations behind this blog. You have given Daddy & Mommy so much meaning in our lives and shown us that every day, every moment, as long as both of you are in it…we are already seeing miracles.

Thank you all for leaving us congratulatory messages. It makes the win even more meaningful when the joy is shared. Let the blogging continue.
