This December, Dream Academy®, brings back its stable of wacky characters — Dim Sum Dollies, Broadway Beng, Kumar, Dr TCM TCM Judee Tan and more — to put a Hokkien spin on a Christmas classic, The Nutcracker.
There’ll be lots of BRAND NEW hilarious moments like the Dim Sum Dollies celebrating Christmas with post-election fervour as Democratic Reformed Workers, Kumar and his beloved groundnuts and the entire Crazy Christmas gang who will rock those Christmas tunes with amazing harmonies. So if you have any hesitation about catching this show, just shake it off, shake it off… and like Taylor, be Swift!
To celebrate Dream Academy’s 15th birthday, the show will go full Broadway with a Tony Awards–worthy opening number, a mashup of some of Dream Academy’s iconic productions, including Sing Dollar!, Happy Ever Laughter, Kumar and Sondheim. This Crazy Christmas is also special because there will be a Dream Choir consisting of kids from Nanyang Primary School and seniors from the Henderson Senior Activity Centre. It is part of the spirit of Christmas to bring joy and laughter to all, from 1 to 92!
