Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. I decided to rope in the Princess to make a simple V-Day craft for Daddy. I explained to her that she would first have to think of 10 reasons why she loves Daddy…then we will use these reasons to make the perfect Valentine’s Day surprise for him. What I like about this project? It’s simple and easy enough for craft-nerds like me! Little hands can do this on their own or with minimal scissor help from Mommy.
All you will need is some red paper, scissors, any kind of twine and some mini-clothes pegs (I dug out some from my stationery stash bought ions ago!). First, I cut out the heart shapes. As soon as the hearts are cut, Dana took over and pen down her ‘love notes’ for Daddy. I’m surprised that she was able to come out with ten reasons on her own swiftly (without prompting from me)! That goes to show the tight-knit bond the Daddy and Daughter shares…
After that’s done, all that is left is to string the twine, and peg them up. My heart melts as I stood back and admire the garland… It’s such a simple yet meaningful gesture. I can’t wait for Daddy to come home tonight to to this surprise. It’s his reward for working hard to provide for the family…
Valentine’s Day is more than just romantic love. It’s about cherishing and honouring all whom we love and those whom we hold dear to our hearts. To our dearest Dar/Daddy, we love you so much and we can never stop thanking God for you. To our readers, we wish you a most LOVELY Valentine’s Day!

How sweet that she volunteered 10 reasons on her own! I love hearing answers from kids cos they give a glimpse into what they treasure.

Oh so beautiful! We also have an “I love you because” thing going on, but it’s from me to the kids. Your version is so sweet!
