Due to the intimate nature of massages, I confess I am very fussy about who the spa service provider is. In fact, I’ve turned down many invites to review spa services previously. But with The Fullerton Spa, it’s entirely a different story. I first experienced massages at The Fullerton Spa during our stay at the Fullerton Bay Hotel last year. I remembered telling David that we’ve finally found THE spa that could rival even the best spa experiences we’ve had overseas especially in top resorts in Bali and Bintan.
Mothers’ Day Spa Package at The Fullerton Spa
This May, The Fullerton Spa is rolling out the red carpet for all Mums with its Mothers’ Day Spa Package. Priced at an affordable SGD160, the package includes a signature 60-minute body massage treatments (Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience or Intensive Muscle Release Massage) with a complimentary 30-minute Express and Glow Facial (valued at S$85*). I was very privileged to be invited to experience it last weekend as an early Birthday and Mothers’ Day treat.

From the moment you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be ushered to a comfortable waiting lounge where the staff will attend to you with a simple questionnaire about your preferences and medical history. You’ll also be given a choice of massage oils to pick for your massage. The treatment rooms are spacious, very tastefully designed with luxurious amenities from The Fullerton Hotel for your use. The essential oil scent, the soft lighting and luxurious, soothing ambience made me feel instantly relaxed even before my massage started.
The Fullerton Spa uses products developed by the award-winning UK based company, Aromatherapy Associates, in all its treatments. The products are created with natural ingredients, the purest extracts and essential oils, and are paraben free. I found the therapists at The Fullerton Spa experienced, polite and tactful. They allow patrons to fully indulge in the spa experience without probing too much into our personal life. The massage I was given untangled all the tensed muscle knots at the back of my shoulders. I didn’t think I would enjoy the facial that much but I did (surprisingly)! In fact, when I saw how my skin lightened up with a fresh glow (as compared to the dull complexion before), I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. I actually look rejuvenated!
After the massage and facial, there was no hard-sell or pressure to sign up any of their packages (although they do have very attractive ones which come with a free night’s stay at The Fullerton Hotel). I was given my own time and space to sip my lemongrass ginger tea in the comfy ladies’ lounge (they have a separate one for males too). I took my time to catch up with my social media feeds, just enjoying the tranquil ‘me-time’ before eventually taking my leave (reluctantly). Such bliss is so rare to come by, especially for us 24/7 multi-tasking Mums.
If you ask me, I think a good spa really does a Mummy’s soul a lot of restorative good. If you’re out of ideas how to thank your Mum (or wife) this Mothers’ Day, treat them to a massage at the Fullerton Spa!

Champagne Brunch at Town Restaurant:
You can extend Mum’s pampering experience at The Fullerton Hotel with a champagne brunch at the Town Restaurant. Situated on the ground level of The Fullerton Hotel, the Town Restaurant offers a huge delectable brunch spread comprising of the freshest seafood and more paired with unlimited choice champagne.
The moment we entered the restaurant and as we were ushered to our table, we were greeted by a wide range of seafood ranging from lobsters, yabbies’, prawns, freshly shucked oysters and an assortment of smoked salmon. Not far from the seafood spread is the sashimi counter. Even as I neared the counter, I could smell the fresh wasabi. The moment David and I tasted the raw tuna and mackerel…I felt as if we were transported back to Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market where we tasted the freshest sashimi. Here’s a tip: Try the fresh Boston lobster and Spiny lobsters with the Thai Mayo sauce.
The local food served at the buffet is authentic too. The succulent satays with its accompanying piquant peanut sauce, the tandoori chicken and crispy roasted duck which had us going back for seconds. If you’re a cheese lover (like our daughter), you’ll be pleased with its wide selection too.
The desserts and cakes are highlights of the buffet for those with sweet-tooth. Even though David and I are trying to reduce sugar intake in our diets, we can’t resist helping ourselves to their signature bread pudding and cakes. Resistance seems to be futile when every dessert calls out your name!
Kids will love the chocolate fondue, cotton candy and artisan ice-cream. If you prefer to dine in peace, you can leave them in the Play Room, where they have their own space to roam, play and eat (yes, there’s a small buffet spread inside for the young ones too!).
Be forewarned though that, like many exceptional restaurants, the Town restaurant needs advanced reservations. On the day we visited, it was packed with families. A testament of its popularity!
The free flow of champagne gave this buffet its edge, making it the perfect Mothers’ Day treat to splurge on Mums. Although nothing can truly compensate for a Mum’s love and dedication to the family, the experience at The Fullerton Spa and the delectable Champagne brunch at the Town Restaurant come close in helping us say ‘I love you’ and ‘I appreciate you Mum!’
Disclosure: Thank you The Fullerton Hotel for this early Mothers’ Day Pampering Treat! Check out the hotel website for more details of the Mothers’ Day Spa Package and Champagne Brunch.
