Even if you are not travelling abroad this September school holidays, there is a Great Adventure awaiting you at Changi Airport!
On 6th to 14th, 20th, 21th, 27th, 28th September 2014 |
Kids (at least 0.8m tall) can take an exhilarating roller-coaster adventure ride through the wilderness of the Amazon Rainforest and the wonders of the Iguazu Falls of Brazil! This holiday roller-coaster adventure ride is available daily during September school holidays and on weekends for the month of September 2014.
[LATEST UPDATE: The roller-coaster ride has been replaced a flat-track train ride as of 12 September 2014].
A ride for the little adrenalin-junkies! |
Can we please go again? |
So much F.U.N! |
There is also a mini exhibition that introduces you to four fabulous tourist destinations round the world – Brazil, China, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. We took our Honeymoon in one of these countries back in June 1999, can you guess which was it?

Round the world on a Great Adventure! |
Kids can pick up some interesting bite-sized facts of the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil, learn about the ancient Terracotta Army of China, get up close with the wildlife of Sri Lanka and ‘escape’ to the pristine beaches of Mauritius. Parents can redeem an exhibition guide, answer simple questions based on the display panels and redeem an exclusive gift for your home (while stocks last).
A pretend sandy Mauritius beach…yup, the place where we had our Honeymoon! |

Apart from the exhibition, there are lots of free activities for the entire family at Changi Airport. This slide@T3 ranks way up high on Dana’s to-do list whenever we are at the airport. She can go on it, again and again, if we let her.
No need to go indoor playground, let’s head to the airport! |
The Slide @T3 – a hot fav with kids! |
Here I go again! |
We like the convenience of having a wide array of reasonably-priced dining options to fill the hungry tummies when we are at the airport. In Terminal 3 itself, we have dined at Thai Express, Dian Xiao Er, Xin Wang Cafe, Itacho Sushi, Gurney Drive, Poulet and Imperial Treasure Restaurant. Talk about being spoiled for choices!
Our fav H.K cafe, open late till 2am! |
We love the french roast chicken and tiramisu at Poulet! |
Queuing for Imperial Treasure’s Xiao Long Baos… |
Getting our Assam Laka and Penang Char Kway Teow fix here… |
There’s another good reason to shop and dine at Changi. All GST are absorbed at many popular retail shops (such as Watsons, Guradian, Bengawan Solo, Times, Cotton On, Body Shop, Swatch etc), regardless of whether you are flying or not. Isn’t that incredible? For full list of participating merchants which absorb GST, click here.
Save on GST at your fav shops… |
You shop, they absorb. We like! 😀 |
Ditch the car and take the train. Direct access to MRT station from T3. |
This September school holidays, you don’t have to think too far or plan a trip out of the country to keep the kids happy. Bring them to Changi Airport, there’s plenty to keep them occupied for a fun and unhurried day out. Happy holidays!
