On the last day of our Queensland Holidays, we visited two attractions in Sunshine Coast: The Strawberries Field and The Australia Zoo! First stop was the Strawberry Fields where Dana had her first experienced of PYO (Pick Your Own) strawberries right from the patch! We arrived 5 minutes before 9am and waited in anticipation for the farm to be opened.
The farm is very well-kept with lush landscaping.
There are picnic facilities at the farm too.
Dana spent a good hour harvesting the ripe and juicy strawberries. She was so engaged in the picking despite the sun beating down on her. Not a bit of whining from her at all! We’re so proud of her 🙂
The strawberries here really put those in Cameron Highlands to shame.
To us, this IS the authentic Strawberry Picking Experience! If you are travelling to Queensland, be sure to make this one of your pit stops. 🙂
Dana showing off her harvest!
Look how luscious this strawberry is!
We rewarded Dana with freshly made Strawberry Ice-cream treat after the harvesting. It’s truly yummy!
Dana can’t stop feasting on freshly picked strawberries on our way out.
She took a photo with the farm’s owners before we bade a fond farewell.
Strawberry Fields is located at 133-137 Laxton Road Palmview QLD 4553, Australia. For opening hours and picking season, please refer to its website here.

I havent been to the Queensland strawberry farm but have visited the one in Victoria. The strawberries must have been really sweet…nothing beats eating the fresh strawberry after plucking them from the plant.
