In June, our family spent a delightful week in Phuket to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary.  Here’s a countdown of the Top 6 Reasons why we have fallen so in love with this special destination in the Land of Smiles.

Feasting on good food while on holidays is like the icing on the cake. If there’s one compelling reason to return to Phuket, it will be the food. We’ve never tasted more authentic Thai cuisines and fresher seafood (at more affordable prices). Before our trip, I did lots of research and jotted down some “Must-Visit” restaurants with rave reviews. This proved to be really helpful as almost all meals we had in Phuket were scrumptious and definite highlights of our trip.

After our speedboat tour, we adjourned back to the resort at dusk where our cousins surprised us with a simple but romantic celebration. There were cake, sparkling juice, lovely card and a big bouquet of fragrant lilies and roses awaiting us when we entered the villa. What a sweet and pleasant surprise! It was the best 10th Wedding Anniversary celebration we can ask for, and Dana was so happy to be part of it! It was an added bonus to be able to go for a private dinner as our cousins offered to babysit Dana for that evening.
