During our short getaway to Kuala Lumpur last week, my MIL led us to this nice restaurant in the back lanes near the hotel where we stayed which serves delectable Hong Kong Dim Sum. Prices are reasonable, service brisk and environment clean and bright. We are delighted to have discovered this gem as we weren’t fond of all the fast food joints that abound in these shopping areas. Here are some dishes we ordered:
A fav of ours – Steamed Cheong Fun with Prawns – so smooth and soft it melts in your mouth… |
Claypot Yam with Duck – I fell in love with this dish when I last visited Penang and decided to give this a try here. It goes very well with rice but a tad salty for my liking. The yam was yummy though…I’m a Teochew girl la! |
(L) 3 Treasures Roast Meat Rice (consisting of Siu Yok, Char Siu, Roast Duck) – The roast meat were yummy but portions could have been bigger. (R) Beef Brisket Dry Noodles – The beef brisket were so tender and flavorful, noodles well-cooked and springy! |
How can we not order Siu Mai and Har Kow? All gone within seconds… |
Fried Yam with Carrot Cake – uniquely savory and very crunchy! |
Dana and Penang Mama enjoying their Dim-Sum Brunch… |
We ordered a pot of very fragrant Pu-Er Chinese Tea to wash down the food. There were many other cute-looking Dim-Sum dishes on the menu which we did not order as we were too full. Judging by the crowd even on a weekday, the restaurant must be very popular with local residents too. In total, we spent about RM90 for the meal (for 3 adults and 1 child). Considering its prime location in the heart of the city and freshness of its cuisines, we think it’s value for money and have a mental note to return next time we are in Bukit Bintang.

The photos look great. Didn’t know there is a brand new building in Bukit Bintang, although I am from KL! Will definitely go try when I go back. Thanks for sharing!
