Last month, we went to Tecman Christian Bookstore in search of a new women's devotional bible (which was supposedly an overdue Mother's Day gift promised by Daddy). As usual, we lingered around in the bookstore even after I found my bible; browsing the wide variety of resources on sale.In the far corner of the shop, this series of Children's Worship CD from 'Streams of Praise Taiwan' caught my attention with its colourful, bright graphics. Daddy liked the fact that each CD comes with free … [Read more...]

Hatched, Rise & Dine!
We chanced upon this restaurant in 2010 when we were sourcing for a good casual party venue for Dana’s birthday. Opened in September 2009, Hatched at Evans Lodge is a restaurant that serves all day breakfast. As the name implies, the menu at Hatched carries all kinds of eggs - boiled, poached, baked, scrambled, fried, and omelette. Even though it isn’t our first meal at Hatched, there were so many different choices on the menu that it took us a while to decide what we want! We went … [Read more...]

Motivational Monday – Gifts that Inspire
I read once that gift-giving is the cement of social relationships. A gift may be inspired by sympathetic feelings or feelings of moral obligations or indebtedness to another party. In other instances, a gift is an outward expression of your fondness and love for someone and your desire to strengthen that bond. I have always enjoyed buying gifts for others (Yes, you guessed it: gift-giving is ranked my top love language) but the hubs happens to share a different 'philosophy, so this … [Read more...]

Our family movie nights would comprise of well-loved Musicals such as 'Sound of Music', 'The King and I', 'Wizard of Oz' and 'Mary Poppins'. We also brought Dana for her 1st live musical experience 'The Lion King' last year which she absolutely loved. This year, we were thrilled … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: Faith
As a mom of an only child, I worry about what the future brings. How would the girl grow up, what school would she attend and who can she call her own when we are no longer by her side. Everytime such thoughts assault me, this old hymn never fails to grant me peace:"Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wondrous face. And the things of this world, will grow strangely dim...In the light of His Glory and Grace."Grant me more faith Lord, to believe that our lives … [Read more...]
Motivational Monday: In love with Fireworks
Photo Credit: Kenny Teo Last Saturday evening, Daddy brought Dana and I out for a spin and we ended up at One Fullerton for dinner. The food was appetizing but the real bonus was that it being the last few Saturdays leading up to our Nations' 47th Birthday, there was NDP rehearsals going on at the nearby Marina Bay Floating Platform. We were excited to be treated to a visual feast right where we dined! At exactly 8pm, after the National Enthem, the … [Read more...]
