There is a mobile ice-cream seller who stations himself daily outside our daughter’s school. Every afternoon after dismissal, throngs of school children in uniform would queue patiently at this ice-cream uncle’s stall to buy an ice-cream to savour on their way home. Among the kids’ favourites and the first to be sold out would always be Paddle Pop ice-cream.
Why is Paddlepop so popular among children? According to Dana:
- It’s tasty.
- It’s colourful.
- There are many choices of Paddle Pop to choose from!
Most parents would agree with us that within a balanced diet and active lifestyle, there is a place for occasional treats like ice-cream. In fact, my entire family loves ice-cream. Hence, we are heartened to learn that:
- All Paddle Pop ice cream are accredited by the Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB) as a healthier choice and carry the Healthier Choice Symbol.
- Paddle Pop ice creams are specially formulated to contain no more than 110 kcal per portion.
- Paddle Pop empowers kids to take ownership of their choices by continuously innovating and coming up with newer flavours, tastes, textures and colours, but all within the healthy nutritional limits!
As an iconic brand that has been a part of every kid’s childhood and to reinforce their core value of ‘letting kids be kids’, Paddle Pop has partnered with KidZania Singapore to let kids learn and play in a safe and educative environment!
In our recent visit to Kidzania, Dana finally got a chance to try ice-cream making at the Paddle Pop Ice-cream Factory after a 40min wait (yes 40 mins on a weekday morning!) but she absolutely relished the experience! I guess it was magical for the kids to see for themselves the science of how their favourite Paddle Pop ice-creams are made and an even bigger bonus to enjoy the ice-cream they’ve made right after the activity!
Besides being involved in the ice-cream making process, the children also learn about nutritionally responsible snacking. It’s no wonder the Paddle Pop Ice-cream Factory is one of the most popular activities in Kidzania Singapore!
