Julia Donaldson is one of Dana’s favourite authors. In 2011, we shared a book review on her award-winning title, ‘What the Ladybird Heard‘ and we are so pleased that it will be one of the productions brought to Singapore in the upcoming Kids Fest 2014!
What’s Kids Fest 2014?
WKidsFest is an exciting festival for the whole family where compelling characters are brought to life and scenes from well-loved books are enacted vividly on stage. It is a wonderful platform for family bonding and at the same time, nurtures a child’s interest in literature and language. It is ABA Production’s aim for KidsFest to be a staple in Singapore’s calendar of cultural events when families can look forward to a series of world-class productions. Each production promises to be an adventure for the family; with catchy music, engaging scenes and even audience participation for some. There will also be surprises thrown in for the kids along the way.
When is it happening?
KidsFest is back! Having enjoyed tremendous success in Hong Kong and Singapore since its debut in 2012, this popular festival returns from 15th January to 9th February 2014 with nine international theatre productions adapted from best-selling children’s books.
How is Kids Fest 2014 different?
KidsFest 2014 sees the introduction of KidsFest Plus (KidsFest+) – an exclusive backstage experience on scheduled dates for selected productions where fans can interact up close with the cast over an autograph or photo session.
KidsFest+ also brings an exclusive Questions & Answers (Q&A) session for the inquisitive ones who wishes to pick the brains of the director for ‘Private Peaceful’ – a production recounting a young First World War soldier reliving his poignant past.
