Oliver Jeffers‘ bestselling picture book comes to life on Singapore stage in this acclaimed Australian adaptation!
Henry loves books. But Henry doesn’t like to read books, he likes to eat them. Big books, picture books, reference books…Henry chews them up and swallows (but red ones are his favourite). And the more he eats, the smarter he gets. Just as he’s on his way to becoming the smartest person in the world, Henry realises he can’t digest all the knowledge he’s eaten. One day he feels sick to his stomach because all the information he ‘ate’ is so jumbled up inside! But, with a little help from his parents, he eventually finds a way to enjoy books the right way.
Using music, movement and puppetry, an Australian cast of three brings to life Oliver Jeffers’ quirky and much-loved story, The Incredible Book Eating Boy. Kids will enjoy this captivating story, which encourages reading, finding success through hard work and not taking the easy way out. We love Oliver Jeffers’ books for his witty writing style plus quirky illustrations. We can’t wait to see this funny tale being brought to life on stage!

Adeline Leo says
Hello! Truthfully honest here, Oliver Jeffers was one of the very first author that my child loves. She first watched a cartoon adaptation of his book ‘Lost and Found’ and she was bawling at the end as she was so touched. Since then we have actively borrowed all his books and his newly published book will always make its way into our borrowing list too. She read ‘the incredible book eating boy’ when she was 4.5, and she loved loved loved it, and we borrowed that book repeatedly. Really hope to get this chance to win this family package! 🙂
