Dana has always been an outdoor type of girl, she’s active, bold and adventurous. In school, teachers told us that she interacts better with the boys…so Daddy has a secret mission to ‘feminize’ our princess by introducing her to Disney Princess stories and all things girly.  We bought her Dora legos, cute Mellchan dolls and tea partysets; we brought her to the theatres to enjoy Princess-themed movies such as ‘Tangled’ and ‘Brave’; we enjoyed family movie nights watching many well-loved Disney classics such as ‘Beauty & The Beast’, ‘Little Mermaid’, ‘Snow White’ and ‘Aladdin’ at home.  After being exposed to so many different Princesses, she finally declared Princess Merida (the heroine from Brave) as her favourite Princess. Last month, she took us by surprise when she announced that she would love to have a Princess cake for her school birthday celebration (coming up in April).  Daddy and I couldn’t be more happy to grant her wish. Our efforts have paid off!

Having tried ice-skating during the last school vacation, she’s also been asking us to bring her back to the skating rink (which we have yet to do so). With her love for ice-skating and combined with her current fad in all things Princessy, we knew we should not miss Disney on Ice’s newest show – Princesses & Heroes when it comes to town this week!
