The Dora Little Cooks Collection was launched in Singapore in June 2013. It is a delightful 20-page kids’ magazine packed with delicious, easy to follow recipes, puzzles, stories, fun facts about ingredients and great crafts to make and do! With every issue, you’ll receive beautiful Dora-themed bake ware and tableware items, specially designed to keep little chefs happy in the kitchens.

| Dora Little Cook Collection – Issues 1 to 3 |
The Dora Little Cooks Collection is about cooking together with your children and helping them to learn about healthy, tasty foods in a fun way. Each issue introduces one healthy food as the ‘star’ ingredient and it shares with its readers some fun facts about this ‘star’ ingredient. For example, issue #1 was on the super food – bananas (which happens to be one of Dana’s favourite fruit!); issue #2 on cheese and issue #3 on strawberries. The magazine is colourful, beautifully illustrated and visually appealing to children. Dana spent hours browsing the magazines and she was really eager to use the silicon cupcake cases that came complimentary. The recipes included were accompanied by step-by-step pictures, making it simple enough for preschoolers like Dana to follow. It was a big bonus that the recipes actually worked! The banana muffins Dana baked tasted so yummy that we requested for it again the next day.

A new issue is released every fortnight. It brings us great joy to see Dana relishing her new-found responsibility and confidence of being the little chef in our home! We can’t wait to get our hands on subsequent issues to try new recipes! As a former English teacher, I think this is an ingenious way to encourage our little ones to read widely and to acquaint them to procedural texts!
