We're very proud of our Singapore Zoo. Despite countless visits, we always managed to do something new each time. Last Friday, we brought Dana and Caleb to the Zoo. As Dana had music rehearsal in the morning, we only arrived at 1pm to be greeted by huge crowds and scorched by blistering heat. The redeeming factor was that the animals were all very active in the afternoons, probably because it was near their feeding times.Upon arrival, we decided we should allow the children to navigate us. … [Read more...]
Weekend Wanderings: Kids can Bowl!
We spent a fun-filled and memorable Sunday celebrating cousin Hayley's 7th Birthday, engaged in a fun sport - Bowling! It was Dana's very 1st time at the bowling alley and she was highly thrilled! Daddy and Mommy had this assumptions that bowling is suitable for older kids (i.e. teenagers) and adults but judging by the laughter and enthusiasm we witnessed today, we couldn't be more wrong - kids find the game irresistible.Brightly furbished Lobby...We were very pleasantly surprised to … [Read more...]

I Heart Smiles – A day well-spent…
One of the most uninhibited smiles we get from children are those in the presence of their friends...Particularly for Dana, as an only child, she enjoys the companionship of her little friends and bursts forth in unbridled joy when she's around them. Here's Valerie, the youngest princess of the Kuans. We are glad that we stay close enough for the two girls to meet weekly for swimming lessons and the occasional play dates. Valerie and her two olders sisters (Trish and Aly) have grown to be the … [Read more...]

Wordless Wednesday: When Alice came to town…
I remembered reading 'Alice in Wonderland' as one of the texts in our Children's Literature Class in University. Recently, they were in town and of course, I was more than happy to leverage on this occasion to introduce Dana to this Classic Children's Story. Dana attended Alice's Tea Party and had a fabulously fun time playing games and interacting with characters. She now knows the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit and of course Alice and the story has sort of … [Read more...]
