Whether we're travelling or just spending a day doing something together at home, Dana love being outdoors. All parents would attest that being outdoors, having the open space to run and play seem to make kids happier than pretty much anything else. It's unfortunate that our sunny island is now shrouded by haze...When the clear skies and clean air return, let's give the kids ample outdoor time again! Here are 5 of our family's favorite outdoor activities, at home and away: 1. Going … [Read more...]

It's solo parenting weekend for me as Daddy's away on a business trip. Home & Away – A Mothers’ Day Staycation…
Mother's Day, a day about thanking and appreciating the women in our lives whose sacrifices and love shape us into who we are today. So when the occasion and the weekend presented itself, we scooped Dana's Grandma, Great-Grandma, Grand Aunt Judy off to somewhere off the beaten track for an inter-generational getaway. Our choice? Nope, not boisterous RWS Sentosa but the quaint old Changi Village. Going East to escape from it all!Bright facade of the hotel jazzing up the relaxed vibes … [Read more...]

We brought the kids to visit Singapore newest attraction, the River Safari (河川生态园) on Saturday. It is conveniently located right beside our award-winning Singapore Zoo but not to be confused with the Night Safari though which showcases nocturnal animals. River Safari is Asia's first and only river-themed wildlife park in the world. Pledge A Shoe at Cold Storage Kids Run 2013
Is running good for kids? You bet it is. Running gets kids outdoors; builds strong bodies; improves endurance; strengthens their cardiovascular system; improves their memory and develops a healthy self esteem in kids. The most important thing when considering any form of exercise with your kids is that they must enjoy it and that they want to do it without being coerced. Sports should be a positive experience so if kids find running/swimming/playing badminton (or any sports for … [Read more...]

From Russia with Love!
A novel skating experience at The Red Square!Daddy and I would love to visit Russia but admittedly, we don't know much about the World's largest country except the fact that they used to be Communists, they serve a mean Borscht Soup (and Bomb Alaska), we have watched The Nutcracker Ballet and Dana has recently taken a liking to those pretty Russian Nesting Dolls. So when we were invited to a Media Preview of this 'Fascinating Russia' Ice-Skating Extravaganze at Changi Airport, we knew we … [Read more...]
