A Brand New Beginning
Eagle-eyed readers and friends have noticed that the usernames in our social media channels have been updated surreptitiously today. Our blog 'PrincessDanaDiaries' started as a personal online diary to document Dana's growth and share her photos with relatives living overseas. In it, I jotted down baby weaning recipes and her monthly milestones in the hope that it will become a treasury of beautiful memories for our daughter. Over time, the blog grew; we made friends, formed relationships with … [Read more...]

And to do that, we constantly pursue opportunities for Dana to draw close to her elders. Why do we do so? Although inter-generational families are encouraged and ‘Grandparent Parenting’ (where children are … [Read more...]

We've always flown from here...this time, we are staying! 1) Who would stay in an airport hotel? Is it suitable for families? … [Read more...]

Before my daughter gives up on me…
A friend shared this article 'The Day My Son Gave Up on Me' from HuffingtonPost and it turned up on my Facebook feed. I think it's by no sheer coincidence that God is using social media to convict me. Every evening, after dinner and the cursory piano practices, I would be in a haste to start Dana on her bedtime routine and shoo her to bed. Sometimes I would accede to her request for a bedtime story grudgingly ("short one please, Mommy is tired"), because I have 1001 things that need my … [Read more...]
