Day #9 of the October Playbook Challenge encourages us to go Cloud Spotting - something I wish I had the time to do more often...A shot taken en-route to Melbourne, AustraliaI vaguely remembered studying names of clouds in Geography lessons and enjoyed it. Whenever I fly, I love peeping out of the plane windows to admire the clouds. My fav place for cloud watching has got to be in Australia (where the skies are perpetually in mesmerizing shades of blue). For today's challenge, I … [Read more...]
Motivational Monday: Little Friends Save The Day!
We spent a busy but remarkable weekend...brought Dana for an afternoon show at DBS Arts Centre as her Children's Day treat; squeezed in some time for a swim and massage; attended UPicnic at the Barrage and ended it with a Family Movie Night right in the comfort of our own home. With pillows, bolsters and cups of warm beverages in hand (milk for Dana and camomile tea for me), Dana and I snuggled up to enjoy the timeless Disney's animation classic … [Read more...]

You use your voice to sing words that you invent. When I saw this challenge last night, I was stumped momentarily...Scat-singing is not something we do on a daily basis so some inspiration is needed...Daddy had introduced Jazz to Dana and she enjoyed it so I am keen to ride on this challenge to … [Read more...]

I recently ordered this title 'What the Ladybird Heard' and the whole family loves it!It's a comical little story which takes place in a quaint little farmyard peppered with noisy farm animal noises (MOOS! BAAS! QUACKS! and OINKS!). There lives a quiet ladybird who never spoke a word. The adventure starts when the animals unites in a clever plot to stop two baddies from stealing their … [Read more...]

The Magic of Eric Carle
Of the many Eric Carle books in Dana's collection, this is one which we like very much. I had actually forgotten that I bought this title till Daddy fished it out from our bookshelves yesterday evening for Dana's bedtime story. It comes with an accompanying CD where the story is narrated. This was a bonus for us as Dana got to enjoy the story being read by a native English speaker (instead of Daddy and Mummy) for a change! The story is simple for toddlers to follow. It begins in the factory … [Read more...]
From Dana’s Library
This is one of Dana's fav books. It was given by one of Mummy's colleague. In this book, Pepo and Lolo (a beaming pink pig and a yellow chick) are best of friends. But like friends in real life, they sometimes they get mad at each other, but never for long. Drawn in the simplest detail but bursting with expression, this story is enjoyable enough for young children to read over and over again. This delightful little book is very colourful and easy to read. But what makes it so special is that the … [Read more...]
