We brought the Princess for an Urban Street Art workshop at Ion Orchard last Sunday. I've been seeing many friends 'checked into' this Paradise Dynasty restaurant on Facebook and drooled at photos of these petite Xiao Long Baos (steamed pork dumplings) which came in a myraid of colours. Since we were at Ion, we decided to give ourselves a treat at the restaurant.Even though a queue was forming at lunchtime, we were led to our seats in less than 5 minutes. Service was efficient and very … [Read more...]

Motivational Monday: Thank you God for Cousins!
A wise saying goes ''Cousins are usually the first friends we have as children...no one will ever understand your crazy family like your cousins do...". I know my hubs agrees with this wholeheartedly. Coming from a large close knit family, one of his fondest memories are those of uncles, aunties and cousins congregating in their grandparents' home in a small Malaysian town of Sitiawan every Chinese New Year; where each cousin would take turns to put up a musical performance for the elders before … [Read more...]
Foodie Friday: Baked Yummy Cod with Crackers!
I chanced upon this recipe last week when I had to fix a quick dinner for the family after a long, busy day at work. I opened my freezer, found a slab of white cod which the hubs had bought from the wet market the weekend before. I decided that I should bake instead of steaming the cod since it's been frozen for a week. I googled for a recipe on my Iphone and bingo, found a life saver! This recipe is so delicious and so easy to put together (2 main ingredients in 3 simple steps) that I … [Read more...]

Thankful Tuesday: Our very own Gratitude Journal…
Source The year is coming to a close. You know the footsteps of Christmas are near when malls (and even your neighbourhood super-mart) start piling their shelves with candy canes, nutcrackers and other Christmasy festive food supplies. Soon Christmas jingles will fill the air and assault us everywhere we turn...frenzied shoppers will congregate at the malls buying gifts with little clue if they would be well-received or recycled the following day/week/year (depending on when the gifts were given … [Read more...]
Motivational Monday: Camera….Lights…Perfection?
Having grown up in an orchestra and being an active musician myself, I've paid top dollars to watch my fair share of world-class concerts and performances in major cities around the world. The depth of emotions and the breadth of human experiences one can glean from the Arts never cease to move and astound me.It is with this that Angie and I have unanimously agreed to expose our daughter, Dana to the Arts from as young an age as possible. In fact , even before Dana could walk, I would … [Read more...]
