{"id":606,"date":"2010-02-08T16:32:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-08T08:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lifestinymiracles.com\/2010\/02\/08\/dana-at-the-zoo\/"},"modified":"2014-10-03T18:21:19","modified_gmt":"2014-10-03T10:21:19","slug":"dana-at-the-zoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lifestinymiracles.com\/2010\/02\/dana-at-the-zoo\/","title":{"rendered":"Dana at the Zoo!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It proved to be a busy&nbsp;but fun weekend for our little Princess as Daddy specially kept last Saturday free to bring her to the Zoo! \ud83d\ude42 It being a typical hot and humid morning, Mummy tied a tiny ponytail for Dana and she was obedient enough to keep it on throughout the outing!&nbsp;I just&nbsp;loved how cute she look with the ponytail! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>We were informed that Dana&#8217;s lessons for this week will be on Sea Animals so we planned our itinerary at the zoo around&nbsp;the Splash Safari Show! Here, Dana came up close with the Penguins, the Manatees and the Sealions! <\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"360\" kt=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lifestinymiracles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Dana-at-the-zoo-1.jpg?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">We feel that this is&nbsp;the right&nbsp;age to revisit the Zoo&nbsp;with Dana as her&nbsp;teachers has just completed a series of lessons on Farm animals and she&nbsp;was able to identify&nbsp;many of the animals she sees. She&#8217;s also shown greater enthusiasm and concentration during the various animal feeding&nbsp;sessions and animal shows. <\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">We were&nbsp;delighted and&nbsp;impressed that Dana&nbsp;was able to&nbsp;name the Chinese terms for some of the more common animals such as &#8220;<i>Lao Hu<\/i>&#8221; for Tigers,&nbsp;&#8220;<i>Ban Ma<\/i>&#8221; for Zebras, &#8220;<i>Da&nbsp;Xiang<\/i>&#8221; for elephants&nbsp;and even&nbsp;&#8220;<i>Chang Jing Lu<\/i>&#8221; for Giraffes!&nbsp; Looks like our Princess is on the road to effective bilingualism! We have the preschool Chinese Teachers to thank for this \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"384\" kt=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lifestinymiracles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/Dana-at-the-zoo-2.jpg?resize=640%2C384&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/div>\n<p>It was a most worthwhile and enjoyable leisurely family outing.
