It’s Tuesday and I’m thankful for the relaxing free & easy holiday enjoying the sights & sounds in Taiwan, where we intentionally slowed down our pace, threw our agendas to the wind and simply enjoyed each other’s company as a family.

As parents, we always lament that our children are growing up way too fast and we wish we can slow the clock so they’ll stay forever cute and innocent…but it was only when we chanced upon this video (stored in our old PC hard disk) few days ago that it struck us just how much changes have taken place and how far we’ve travelled in a short span of 3 years since the day she was born.

I thank God for His hand of protection on Dana all these years (through the difficult days with no home support and countless maid changes; through the onset of Kawazaki disease on her 2nd Birthday; through her early days placed in the infant care centers and preschool where she’s always the first to arrive and last to leave). I thank God for the treasury of beautiful photos (painstakingly built up by the hubs) which enabled us to revisit milestones of her infancy to toddler years with fondness and gratitude. Above all, I thank God for the privilege of allowing me to be a Mom (after suffering 3 stillbirths).

It has been a most fulfilling parenthood journey thus far, one which we would not trade for anything in the world, and we look to God for more beautiful memories to come!
