We brought the Princess for an Urban Street Art workshop at Ion Orchard last Sunday. I’ve been seeing many friends ‘checked into’ this Paradise Dynasty restaurant on Facebook and drooled at photos of these petite Xiao Long Baos (steamed pork dumplings) which came in a myraid of colours. Since we were at Ion, we decided to give ourselves a treat at the restaurant.

Even though a queue was forming at lunchtime, we were led to our seats in less than 5 minutes. Service was efficient and very swift, leaving a good first impression. The interior of the restaurant is decked out in opulent, contemporary Oriental setting, giving the dining experience a visual boost. The grand dining hall sports a high ceiling, with windows offering panoramic views of the bustling Orchard Road. There’s also an open kitchen where Xiao Long Baos and La Mian are freshly made in full view of diners.
