Families are in for treats this Halloween season at Quayside Isle, done without the ‘Fear Factor’ style but rather ‘Feast factor’. Get far away from the scary Halloween crowd and bring your families to dine at the tranquil Quayside Isle at Sentosa Cove where several hip and happenin’ eateries have teamed up to customise eye-popping, lip-smacking menus this Halloween season.

Get started at Joe & the Juice where this renowned Danish bistro’s detox juices and fresh sandwiches (loving prepared with its air-flown Danish bread) is always a winner. Down a glass of ‘Pick Me Up’ prepared with organic apple, raspberries and bananas to kick-start any event. How about a glass of ‘Young Blood’ – a juice blend with Celery, Lemon and Apple for rejuvenation. We were told that the juices here are blended with a dash of olive oil and some secret ingredients to maximize the absorption of the nutrients. We tried their Turkey Sandwich and it was one of the tastiest sandwiches we have ever eaten at any cafes, locally and abroad! It’s done so well, we can taste the blend of fresh mozzarella and turkey within. Yum!

The Thais are joining in the Halloween fun with their specialized menu created for the season. Between 15th October 2016 and 15th November 2016, Gin Khao Bistro is introducing their 5-dish set menu that consists of delicious Scorched Fresh Squid served with Thai Green Chilli Dip that is done just right (Pla Muek Yang Nahm JImm), an exquisite Pan-seared Truffle infused Thai Fish Cake (Truffle Mun Pla), Succulent Fresh Prawn braised in Chicken and Coconut Broth that put the ‘wow’ on the table for us, a unique Flame-grilled Tender Pork Neck served with Sticky Rice and Thai Dip (Kor Moo Yang) that tantalized our taste buds. We ended the meal with a hearty Yam Paste with Coconut Sauce (Kanom Pheuak), a variation of the local Teochew Orh-nee. The set is priced at S$78++ per pax. Gin Khao’s ala-carte menu items are priced very reasonably, comparable to Thai Express outlets and we heard their Watermelon Fried Rice (Yup, watermelon not pineapple!) is a must-try.

If you are looking to indulge in something a bit more ‘sinister’ and playful, Museo has the perfect tea and dessert pairing consisting of ‘Vampire’s Libation’ – an exquisite Hibiscus Tea where it literally ‘sparkles’ as you mix in your concoction and The Medussa’s Supper – Blueberry Merinque with Vanilla Ice-cream, Raspberry Coulis and Popping Candies complete with a little Halloween–related artifact that you can put a finger on. This set priced at S$25, and recommended for those who have a sweet tooth.

If seafood is your preferred cuisine, there’s no place better than Greenwood Fish Market at the Quayside Isle. Try their ever popular Freshly-shucked Raw Oysters at only S$1.99 per pop every Tuesday evening or order their canapés topped with the freshest catch of the day. We particularly liked its cosy and communal dining atmosphere inside the restaurant too. We feel relaxed and warmly welcomed the minute we stepped in.

Some families have the pereception that Quayside Isle is very far and too ‘atas’ (i.e. expensive) but there are many pockets of dining gems to be discovered here too. With free shuttle services daily from Harbour Front, free weekday lunch time parking and other regular dining promotions offered by the various dining establishments, it’s worthwhile to pop by here more often. After all, there isn’t many more other idyllic spots here in Singapore for a quiet and pleasant night out. Check out Quayside Isle’s website for more information today!
