This year&#8217;s Beauty World will feature Chiang\u2019s revised script and for the first time, it will be directed by its co-creator and composer, Dick Lee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beauty World first made its debut in the 1988 Singapore Arts Festival. Since its debut in 1988, the musical has enjoyed multiple re-staging, including a successful Japan tour (1992) and a record-breaking production shown live on TV (1998). Jeanette Aw sheds her good-girl image to play Lulu, the beautiful but vindictive cabaret queen who becomes jealous of Ivy, the innocent Kampong Girl protagonist played by Cheryl Tan.
