Two headline news article gripped our hearts this week: the 80-year-old Grandmother who had her hand severed after it got stuck in between lift doors at her HDB block after returning from her usual morning walk with her dog. We cannot imagine the trauma this elderly lady went through!

Then we read the tragic news of a 30-year-old lady who died in an explosion that took place at a Chemical Lab in Jurong. She had just returned to work from maternity leave the week before. She left behind a newborn daughter who is just six months old. Our deepest sympathies go towards her family.

We are all born to protect; it’s an instinctive act of love and duty for our children, spouses, parents, siblings and family. Each night, our bedtime prayer will consist of asking God to keep all our loved ones (near or far) safe, to watch over our coming in and going out until we meet again.

This TVC tells of a true story of a fire which engulfed a Japanese restaurant. The AXA Claims Service Manager, Kenny, helped the chef get back on his feet by expediting his claims, referring the best medical help to treat the chef’s injury, a social worker to counsel his elderly mother and even ensuring the renovations for the restaurant start immediately so that F&B operations can resume soonest. For AXA, it’s a calling to protect, be it our Health, Family & Home, Travels and the Environment.
