When Dana was younger, she was not very much into girly pretend play; she would rather rumble and tumble on slides, swings and climb rock walls.  In our bid to ‘feminize’ her, Daddy and I brought her to watch her first movie in the theaters – ‘Tangled’ and she became fond of the free-spirited Rapunzel. Subsequently, we watched ‘Brave’ and she was enamored with the athletic Princess, Merida’s archery skills.  As parents, we like this new generation of Disney Princesses who exhibit grace, independence, inner strength and beauty. On our family movie nights, we introduced Disney classic films like ‘Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Aladdin’ (to name a few) to get her acquainted with other Disney Princesses. Last Christmas, she surprised us by requesting for an Ariel costume as her Christmas gift from her Aunt Adeline (looks like our efforts are paying off!) There’s just something magical when you see your little girl dolled up in the Princess costume and trying to walk gracefully in those tiny princessy heels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The Disney Princess cakes are available at all Swensen’s and Earle Swensen’s outlets island-wide. They come in 1 to 5kg options and in round, square, heart or rectangle shapes. You can also pick from 24 ice-cream flavours, including all-time favourites such as Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Frosted Chocolate Malt, Thin Mint, Strawberry Sherbet, Rocky Road, Durian Supreme and Macadamia Nut.  We specially ordered a Disney Princess cake for Great Grandma’s Birthday for Dana to share with her little cousins but it turned out that even adults preferred the ice cream cake! <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
