It is one of our parenting goals to bring Dana up to be resilient, adventurous and lover of the great outdoors. So, we simply couldn’t resist it when the chance beckons for her to experience all of these at Forest Adventure Singapore.

Originally from France, tree top courses are popping up all over the world and Dana is no stranger to them, having conquered one at the Bali Treetop Park. This invite to Singapore’s own Forest Adventure was to celebrate our dear neighbour Maegan’s 8th Birthday. Guess who was so excited she couldn’t sleep? That’s right – Princess Dana.

Situated at the scenic Bedok Reservoir Park, Forest Adventure has 2 courses: One for adults and juniors and one for children. Kids must be above 1.1m to participate. Parents are welcomed to accompany their children on the Kids Course (at additional cost).

Forest Adventure: It’s right up there with loads of family fun and excitement!

Dana and her ‘net’work of new found friends…

The Kids Course has 16 crossings and finishes with one awesome zip line – a totally fun and rewarding experience for every little adventurer. It may be physically and emotionally challenging for some children (especially those who are less sporty) but almost all children would be able to complete it with some encouragement. Outdoor activities like these tree top courses develop a child’s self-confidence; help them overcome their fears and train endurance and resilience. That afternoon, despite the blazing sun rays beating on their backs and perspiration soaking through their outfits, none of them gave up mid-way. Everyone gamely completed the Kids Course and was rewarded with their favourite flying fox zip-line at the finishing point. Those who finished the course before the 1hour limit is up gets to go up twice!

Want some excitement? Just hang around… literally!

Check out the various obstacles the kids conquered at Forest Adventure and the look of satisfaction at the end. This is almost like a foretaste of the Outward Bound School or MOE Adventure Camps that all of them would go through in the future.

First things first – let’s hook on for safety.
