One of the priorities we both uphold as parents is to invest time and energy to create wonderful, lasting childhood memories for our girl.Yesterday, desite work fatigue and having to beat the peak rush-hour traffic, we brought Dana to the newly opened baking concept store - TOTT for a baking session! It was a totally spontaneous decision and an added bonus to have Dana's best friend, Julian join us. I'll let the photos show you the sheer delight and enjoyment … [Read more...]

Dana’s 1st School Concert! :)
On 24 Nov, Dana made a debut at her pre-school's year end concert. Being her very 1st concert 'appearance', it was no doubt a BIG milestone for her and a much awaited event for us. Prior to the concert, parents were kept in suspense so the hall was filled with anxious parents who came early, armed with their digital cameras, DSLRs and viewcams (us included). The concert was to start at 5pm with the toddler's item scheduled as the last. We were worried that Dana … [Read more...]

Allie Alligator, Bubba Bear and Catina Cat!
After hearing rave review from an ex-colleague about how her pre-schooler son benefitted from the programme, we enrolled Dana for Zoo-phonics lessons officially last month in March. Zoo-phonics is a whole brain approach developed to make children strong readers (and spellers) using “phono” (hearing), "oral” (speaking), “visual” (seeing), “kinesthetic” (moving), and tactile (touching) activities. What we like about Zoo-phonics Programme is that it capitalises on the … [Read more...]

What’s Princess up to at the Little Skool-House
Each time after we dropped Dana off at the infantcare, we wonder what keeps her occupied the entire day. Today being the centre's open house, we popped by to take a peep. Am pleased to see her playing independently, flipping books and happily taking her first steps. The teachers there also stimulate the infants with music, art n craft sessions and other fun activities everyday! A happy infant care environment makes a happy baby :) … [Read more...]
1st Enrichment Class…
Our Princess' growing up so fast that she'll be turning 1 in less than a month's time. We observed that her psychomotor skills are quite advanced (result of her roaming around freely under close supervision at infantcare) and decided we should stimulate her in other ways. So we started sort of an 'enrichment class hunt for her. We brought her to several trials - Gymboree, Growing up Gifted and Little Neuro Tree before finally deciding on Kindermusik. We've always like Kindermusik's classes as … [Read more...]
