A very ‘COOL’ invitation!
Time flies, April is soon approaching and our Princess is turning 1! After months of 'research' and planning, we've finally found an ideal venue to hold her Birthday Bash. We've decided to celebrate Dana's 1st Birthday at Ben & Jerry's as it reflects her fun-loving and cheerful nature. We spent our Sat morning designing this simple but good-looking E-invite which has gone out to all our guests. If you've received one, we'll be honoured to have your presence. See you at B&Js on Apr 5th! … [Read more...]
Call of the Wild – Part 1 Jurong Bird Park
We took advantage of the STB's Visit Singapore promotion and brought Dana to the Jurong Bird Park bright and early over the weekend. It's her 1st trip there and an eye opener for her to be 'up close and personal' with so many birds. We particularly liked the Flamingo Parade, the Penguin Encounter and the Lory's Loft. Here are some photos to share:On this outing, we discovered (much to our delight) that our Princess is quite 'fearless' and hardy; she eagerly reached out to touch the birds and she … [Read more...]
A Valentine’s Gift
Last Friday, Dana came home with a surprise gift for us - her very 1st handicraft from school! It's a lovely Valentine's rose made from Dana's handprints! Happy Family!
We had a family gathering on Grandma's birthday last Sunday and took the chance to snap some family photos at the poolside. Really pleased with the photos as they show the deep bonding we share with our daughter who's grown from a tiny infant to an inquisitve, active toddler in a blink of an eye!Our Princess is very animated now. She can do actions like 'clap', 'gongxi', 'wink', 'dance', 'hello', 'where', 'wave byebye', 'twinkle twinkle little star' and 'incy wincy spider'. She is able to sign … [Read more...]
Dana’s Day Out @ The Gardens
Daddy and Mummy brought Dana for an evening stroll at the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden yesterday. J.B. Garden is built on the grounds of the Old NIE (along Bukit Timah Road) where I used to attend lessons as a trainee teacher. As Asia's first children's garden, it has many fascinating attractions like the Potting Garden, Waterplay Area, A-Mazing Play Area, Plants Recycle Area, Suspension Bridge and the Tree House. It's our 2nd visit there and we love the natural setting. Can imagine when Dana … [Read more...]
How Much Does Your Baby Sleep?
Found this info on the net, thought it's rather useful for parents. This story was first published in The Straits Times on Jan 5, 2009.According to the table, Dana's not getting sufficient sleep. On average, she sleeps for 9 hours in the night and naps for 2-3 hours during the day. Wonder how can we make her sleep more? Hmm...esp when she's so active and inquisitive at this age. Any suggestions? … [Read more...]

SQ 237 – Dana’s 1st Flight – To Melbourne we go!
December's such a crazy month that I can only find time to blog about this trip now. Dana's 1st flight was on board an SQ plane bound for Melbourne, Australia on 5 Dec 08 (exactly the day she turned 8 months!). She was a very cooperative baby, slept throughout the flight there and though she caught brochitis on the way back, she gave minimal fuss.As this was a semi-working trip for Daddy, I had the chance to play, have fun and simply bond with Dana without the worries of work. Here's some photos … [Read more...]
