DIY Japan – Maximising your day at Universal Studios Japan
This visit to Universal Studios Japan completes our ‘trilogy’ of the 3 large theme parks in Japan during our inaugural trip in the Summer of 2015. Despite having ran and screamed our way through two of the most popular Disney theme parks (namely Disneyland and DisneySea), our visit to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) still gave us some unexpected surprises in more ways than one - lots of ‘thrills, spills and excitement’ in their many movie-themed rides. In all, we conquered 8 iconic rides and … [Read more...]
UNIQLO Winter 2015 Kids & Babies Collection
For many families in Singapore, year-end is a favourite travelling season, especially to countries with colder climate, particularly Japan, USA and Korea. We've visited Korea in December 2012 when Dana was 4 and it was so frigid cold! One of the essential trip preparation before any Winter vacations is to get proper cold wear. One of the first (and often, only stop) we would make after our flight is booked is to UNIQLO, to shop for our Winter wear - they are stylish, comfortable, … [Read more...]

Treasure Island, the Musical – Where the Real Treasure ain’t Silver or Gold
The good folks at the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s The Little Company has outdone themselves again. The swashbuckling, action-packed, pirate-themed musical currently running at the DBS Arts Center is just as entertaining for the adults as it is for the kids. The stage backdrops were beautiful to start with - seamlessly transforming from Benbow Inn (a tavern in Bristol, England) to Hispaniola (the pirate's ship), to a forest on the deserted Treasure Island. It was a visual feast … [Read more...]
