Is running good for kids? You bet it is. Running gets kids outdoors; builds strong bodies; improves endurance; strengthens their cardiovascular system; improves their memory and develops a healthy self esteem in kids. The most important thing when considering any form of exercise with your kids is that they must enjoy it and that they want to do it without being coerced. Sports should be a positive experience so if kids find running/swimming/playing badminton (or any sports for … [Read more...]

‘The Parable of the Lost Earring’…
We cling to what we value. We mourn when what we value is lost. We get elated when what was lost is found. I was aghast to discover that I had accidentally dropped one of my beloved diamond-studded earring yesterday. I had absolutely no clue or recollection when or where it could have dropped...I only knew it bore much sentimental value as it was one of the four 'dowry' items David bought me for our wedding...My heart was downcast as I retraced my footsteps in desperate bids to recover the lost … [Read more...]
The Essence of Human Nature – An Interview with its Director
I was introduced to Human Nature products early this year by MummyMoo. 5th Birthday Celebration in School
The Princess celebrated her 5th Birthday bright and early with her classmates last Friday. The teachers had reminded us that we only have a 15 minutes slot (from 8.15am to 8.30am) for the celebration so we kept it a very simple affair. Dana picked a Lilo & Stitch cake, we packed some lovely goodie bags (with a storybook and some snacks in it) and off we went to school. The children were delighted to see Dana as she had been absent from school due to a bout of fever and cold. Marissa … [Read more...]

Home is Where Mom is…Mothers’ Day Linky 2013
A mother is one who loves unconditionally, nurtures and protects, leads by example and puts the needs of her family above her own.My relationship with my Mom only drew closer after I became a Mom. Growing up, I was a 'latch-key' kid. I would come home to an empty house, settle my own lunch and warm up the dinner which my Mom had pre-cooked for my sister and I before she headed off to work. As the sole-bread winner, Mom held 2 jobs to clear the bottomless debts and to bring home the bacon.A … [Read more...]
